Iran’s Art for Peace Festival is to inaugurate in Tehran.
To mark International Day of Peace, the 7th Art for Peace Festival – under the slogan of ‘The World Is Colorful’ – will be held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran from September 20 to October 4, 2019.
“The festival has received more than 200 works by artists from 20 countries,” said the secretary of the event.
A special sideline event includes the exhibition of artworks in the fields of painting, photo, sculpture, motion graphic, installation, video art, cinema and theater by artists from countries such as France, India, Italy, Germany, Australasia, Spain, South Korea, Brazil and several other countries.
A total of 23 films are scheduled to be screened at the festival during a four-day showtime from September 23 to 30.
Established in 2013, the festival aims to apply art to identify and empower the potential for enhancing the culture of tolerance and peace and to help remove people’s inherent cultural barriers that hinder the way to peace and peaceful coexistence in the world.
